We have a proud history in the forest and paper industry which extends more than 150 years back in time. Our starting point is that virgin fibers from slowly growing Nordic forests forms the basis for some of the best-performing packaging materials. As Sweden's largest user of fiber raw materials, the wood supply's mission is to secure Billeruds Swedish industries with pulpwood, chips, and fuel.

Procurement & Wood Supply is a function within Billerud that is responsible for ensuring cost-effective and sustainable supply of fiber, materials, machinery/equipment and services in both the short and long term. Fibre Sourcing & Supply Chain is a department within the function with the main responsibility for supplying our Swedish production facilities with pulpwood, wood chips, biofuel and pulp which is sourced through forest companies, private forest owners and imports. 

We are now looking for a person who want to take on one of our key positions as our Wood Sourcing Manager Karlsborg. Location preferable at our mill in Karlborg (Kalix) or in our office in Luleå. As Wood Sourcing Manager Karlsborg you have the responsibility for the strategy, business development and optimization of the supply of fiber to Karlsborg mill.

Your main tasks will be to be responsible for Billerud’ s key business partners in Northern Sweden and Finland and work on developing existing and new business and partnerships in the area. You are used to work efficient through cross functional teams and in close collaboration with other specialized colleagues. You report to Head of Wood Sourcing within the Fibre Sourcing & Supply Chain department.

Qualifications

Completed university education in forestry, engineering or business administration, or equivalent education. Several years of international business experience and knowledge of wood market. Part of the role will focus on our business and partnerships in Finland, and it is therefore favorable, if you speak Finnish and have knowledge of the Finnish wood market, in addition to Swedish and English.

To succeed in this position, we believe you can see the big picture and like to streamline and develop, you have a keen interest on business, procurement, logistics, optimizing and enjoy developing towards operational excellence.

The role entails a great deal of business responsibility towards customers/suppliers in our sourcing business in north. For us, personality is important. To succeed in this position, we believe you are great at creating relationships and improvement oriented. We are looking for a team player with great business acumen and ability to work structured, strategic, and analytic.
